I am currently a Special Research Assistant at the Institute of Mountain Hazards and Environment, Chinese Academy of Sciences. My research is on the granular processes that occur in mass flows that shape the surface of the Earth.
I received my PhD in Geotechnical Engineering from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2021 having defended my PhD thesis on the particle size segregation in debris flows. I obtained my Master's in Physics (2017) and Bachelor's in Applied Physics degrees from the University of San Carlos, Cebu, Philippines.
I currently reside in Chengdu, China where on my free time I go hiking in the mountains of Sichuan.
